My words will not do enough justice to this awesome read, one of a kind book that you would want to always keep with you in your handbag or office desk. Like they say - when you finish reading an awesome book, you almost feel like you are about to bid farewell to your best friend who has been nothing but awesome company. I enjoyed reading this book, the characters are so relatable because they are 'humans' and the content is easy to locate within our everyday realities in life. This makes the book unique as it connects effectively with the audience. If you are your father's daughter this book will speak very boldly and directly to you. It is that book you do not want to miss out on; an extraordinary, simple and absolutely a fun read. You will laugh and simultaneously find one or two tears sneak out at the corner of your eyes. The simplicity in the depiction of each character - from Mikayi , Mama Mpenzi and George Auko (The father) is the ultimate sophistication in Rough Silk. George Auko is certainly not an ordinary man - he is a perfect human who lived fully living no stone unturned. Most people just exist in neat boxes. This book is a clear reflection of why you should love life and live life with every single second that passes by. The main characters in the book did live it fully and hopefully when you read the book, you will draw the same inspiration. I enjoyed the book immensely and wish there was a button to press enjoyed 1000 times. Go get you your rough silk, its beyond value for time and value for money.
